A Twin City, which is also known as Sister Cities, Town Twinning and Partnership Towns, is essentially a strategic long-term, formal relationships between two international cities or towns. As part of Heritage Liberia’s efforts to promote community developments, the organization endeavors to create the opportunity for twinning between participating Liberian and international cities or towns with the purpose of promoting cultural and commercial ties. This will subsequently stimulate trade and tourism, cement strategic international business links, and result in mutual economic benefits. In particular, Heritage Liberia’s twinning activities will not be political-oriented between participating cities/towns abroad but rather focus mainly on stimulating developed urbanisation.
To ensure a good symmetry between international governing organisations, municipal governments, community groups with shared valuable knowledge, private organizations, etc., and partners interested in establishing a twinning relationship with cities/towns/communities within Liberia based on cultural exchange, leading to creating cultural museums, music venues, community centres, etc., to promote tourism; forged trade relationships, expatriate or diaspora communities, faith-based groups (which could lead to establishing a non-denominational place of worship to serve the interest of visiting natives of the partner twin cities, etc.), etc., we are currently welcoming formal Letters of Expressed Interest.
We organise business shows so that Liberian and international companies can showcase their products and services to the general public and potential investors.
